Davit arms and roof jockeys protect balustrades and parapets from the force of work at height, so the facade stays undamaged and regular maintenance and cleaning can carry on.

Many modern buildings have frameless glass and delicate facade features. Their balustrades and parapets need protection from force, such as the weight of abseil ropes or the [replacement of high-rise windows](https://onevisionprojects.com.au/glass-replacement). Davit arms and roof jockeys are two access solutions that overcome this.

Both can be fixed or demountable, and both are fabricated in aluminium for durability and versatility. We install davits as part of a roof access system and certify them on completion, and they are [recertified](https://onevisionprojects.com.au/access-systems-re-certification) with the rest of the system every year.

## Why go demountable

1. **Movable access points**: A demountable roof jockey, also called a rooftop roller, can be moved between access points across a single facade.
2. **More roof space**: The system can be dismantled and stored away, freeing up what is often limited rooftop space.
