# Access for fire installations and inspections

The best way to fight fires is to prevent them before they start.

OneVision provides rope access and height access support for licensed fire services contractors, where difficult access is needed on external fire systems.

Installing, testing, inspecting and replacing the fire systems is done by the licensed fire services contractor, not by OneVision.

## Fire prevention starts with

1. **Early warning of fire**: For example, smoke alarms.
2. **Safe access for firefighters**: Building in a way that lets firefighters safely enter to attack a blaze, for example through consultation throughout design.
3. **Stopping the spread**: Preventing a blaze spreading from the burning building to neighbouring properties, for example with external sprinkler systems or cowlings.
