# Safety lines

A safety line is designed and installed to restrict a person's access to the edge, removing the possibility of a fall. This is known as fall restraint.

We install static lines as part of a [roof and facade access system](https://onevisionprojects.com.au/access-system-design) and certify them on completion. Like anchors and rails, they are [recertified](https://onevisionprojects.com.au/access-systems-re-certification) every year.

Whether a line is a permanent, fixed installation depends on the location and how often it will be used.
